Maths Games for Homeschool or the Classroom

Maths is an entire subject devoted to solving puzzles. So why do so many students dread maths lessons?
Well, it may not actually be the maths that they're not enjoying - it may just be the way it's being taught.
Here at Brain Spice, we believe that the brain loves learning. You just need to make it fun! And what better way to make maths fun than to practice maths skills through play!
We have a fantastic range of maths games for all abilities. From basic number recognition, shapes, telling the time, patterns, and money problems, through to addition, subtraction, division, multiplication (times tables), fractions, equivalence, area, and geometry.

Sometimes though, when students have already had a bad experience with maths they may be hesitant to play a game which is entirely based around the subject. This is totally ok. There's no need to force the subject and push them further away. We want them to love learning! So we have another option.
When students aren't interested in playing a maths game, there's often no point trying to convince them otherwise. But just because you can't convince them to play a maths game, doesn't mean they aren't interested in playing a game with a maths element!
You just have to be creative!
Many tabletop games, card games, and family games have a maths element in them which is subtle enough to go unnoticed when playing. Students may not notice the maths element of these games, however that doesn't mean that the maths practice isn't happening!
